FANART: Meet Maisy (Photoshop manipulation)

I was playing around with images the other day thinking of colour variations Lo would like to see, one of her favourites has always been Daisy and I know for Christmas she is asking for quite a few pink Beanie Boos, so I photo-shopped a pink Daisy for her:

Obviously this is just a fan-art image (and not a great one at that) but so there is no confusion I have watermarked it as a fake so the image can't be used to start rumours etc. This is just my happy interpretation of a possible Beanie Boo :)

COLLECTION: #6 Cleo the Bush Baby

Well, little lady wasn't due to get any more Beanie Boos until Christmas (unless she saved her own pocket money for another clip) - and we have busily been compiling lists of Beanie Boos to ask Santa, Friends and Relatives for as presents.

Well, Sunday was her brother's Birthday, and Lo Lo chose to give him a Beanie Ballz called Zoom the Turtle (Lo and myself are not keen on Ballz - personally I think they look like they've been inflated with helium, but J seems to like them) he was having a Ninja Turtle party so this seemed appropriate :)

Through the whole party and endless presents for her brother Lo Lo was a little star, never got jealous or upset that it wasn't her party and those weren't her presents. I'm not normally a fan of doing this but I decided it was worth rewarding her good behaviour with a little surprise she got........

Children in need 2013

Lo Lo's school did a 'wear your Pjamas to school day' in support of BBC's Children In Need last week, and all the children got to take a teddy. Of course Lo Lo wanted to take a Beanie Boo and so off Daisy went to pre-school with her, So cute!

It's not too late to support Children in Need click here for details.

Holiday: Cornwall

Beanie Boos even came with us on our short break to Cornwall this October half term!

Top row: Lo Lo and J (her brother)
Bottom row: Zippy clip (J's), Rainbow clip, Safari clip, Daisy, Dakota, Nibbles and Tuffy clip.

COLLECTION: #5 Dakota the Horse

We were visiting Sheffield on the 29th of September for the Great North Run, and meeting up with Lo Lo's Grand parents. They wanted to get a little something for each child as they don't see them as often as they'd like and of course by this point Lo Lo was Beanie Boo mad (she had brought all 4 of her Beanie Boos plus her 2 clips to the hotel with us for a little 'holiday') so off we went to find a Claire's or Clintons in Meadowhall.

COLLECTION: #4 Daisy the Cow

Lo Lo started nursery this September and after making a new friend 'Tilda' who (along with her sister) collects Beanie Boos started talking about them more and more. We made a note to keep an eye out for some more and no sooner had we started looked than we 'rescued' Daisy from a charity shop. She's not exactly mint condition and has a little plastic coating left on her eye but Lo Lo loves her and regularly takes her to Nursery with her - particukarly to introduce to another little girl (who happens to be called 'Daisy')

COLLECTION: #3 Nibbles the Guinea Pig

Nibbles was a 3rd Birthday present from my Dad for Lo Lo. She was soo excited when she opened her and immediately ran off to find her others, this was possibly the first indication she still loved these big eyed cuties.

Nibbles has been on many trips to the pet shop to visit other Guinea Pigs ... although Lo Lo still insists on called her 'nibbles the Hamster.'

COLLECTION: #2 Waddles the Penguin

The second Beanie Boo to be welcomed into the house was Waddles the Penguin, he came from Toys'r'us as a treat when my Dad was visiting, I seem to remember she had a choice between Waddles, Coconut or Romeo and she chose him.

Poor Waddles lately had a bit of a red foot when he got too close when watching Lo Lo colouring in, luckily a bit of a surface wash and he was good as new!

COLLECTION: #1 Stripes the Tiger

Lo Lo's first 6 inch Beanie Boo was Stripes the Tiger, I'm afraid I can't remember exactly when but it possibly dates back to Christmas 2011. It was bought from Tesco because she loved anything with big eyes - I didn't know a few years later it would be growing into a little collection :) As we're only using the 6 inch (regular) size for the official count he counts as #1 although her Safari clip predates him slightly.

Last year she was using Stripes (Beanie Boo #2) as little dumbbells when ever Mummy was doing a workout video, now he is come likely to get cuddled than crunched.

Beanie Boo Keyring - 1,2 & 3

Time for a quick update, here are Lo Lo's 3 Beanie Boo key rings, they might not look like a lot but bearing in mind she's only 3 and saves her own pocket money up to buy them, it's a start :)

Safari (far left) was the very first Beanie Boo in the whole collection, we got it from Tesco when she was only 18 months old I can't remember if I treated her to it as a reward for behaving in the trolley or if it was saved and given as a Birthday present. Little did I know she would want a collection later on!

Tuffy (middle) was the very first thing she ever saved up for herself, it took 3 weeks pocket money and she was so proud to be able to walk into the shop (Brantano) and buy it for herself.

Rainbow (right) was bought in Southampton, she had saved the required money herself (although Claire's is more expensive so I had to slip the cashier the extra when she wasn't looking) and we had promised we would take her to the 'Beanie Boo Shop' to let her choose one but we were on a trip so had to go to the nearest shopping centre and hope they had some. This is the first beanie Boo where she has chosen to keep the tag on. On the same trip my son bought himself Zippy - but I am not including it here as this is Lo Lo's collection.

NEWS: Tabby cat - new release?

Tomorrow we'll be taking photos and logging all the Beanie Boos in her collection so far, but today we're quite excited about the new Beanie Boo photo from the Boots catalogue. A tabby cat. Not had chance to go into a Boots store to see if this cat is actually available (I have my doubts, and think its a stock photo, as the UK doesn't usually get exclusive or advanced releases, but you never know).

The only reference I can find is over at Glubschi Wonderland and it looks like it is part of a new release set of 5 including a very cute racoon, bluish leopard, a pink giraffe (like Jungle-love but without a heart) and a blue penguin (like Fairbanks without the hat). Really hoping little lady doesn't but this one her Christmas list yet as Father Christmas may have trouble sourcing one....

Welcome!

My 3 year old daughter started collecting TY Beanie Boos, this is a little blog for her about her growing collection and their many adventures :)
